Allergic?!?!

During the past 2 months, my eyes turned bloodshot for no apparent reason. The first time was my left eye, and that was 2 days before an exam. I was worried that it might be conjunctivitis, so I bought an eye solution and used it religiously. Luckily it subsided after the 3rd day, so I was able to attend the exam. 2 weeks later, my right eye turned red this time. Again the symptoms were similar...red, with no itchiness or pain, similar to conjunctivitis, yet not entirely the same. Once again I turned to my eye-drop. Another 2 weeks later, my right eye turned red AGAIN. I felt that something was wrong and decided to visit the doctor when the holidays began. So on Monday I went to an eye specialist, and the verdict was that I was ALLERGIC. My eyes were allergic to dustmites!!!how does that even make sense? But I've asked 2 doctors and the diagnosis was the same...so I guess there really is such a thing - eyes allergic to dust. Now will you please excuse me while I attempt to sneeze with my eyes.
